Redcliffe & Temple BID are developing a program to deliver improvements to the BID area’s outdoor, built and natural environment to make the area a more attractive, greener, more welcoming place to spend time.
In November 2021, over 40 stakeholders and interested parties participated in four co-creation workshops. The aim was to develop the brief, bring a sense of ownership, gather collective experiences, explore partnerships, and identify key priorities.
The themes of the four workshops connect with green infrastructure: Cooling Cities, Cities In Nature, Creating Social Spaces and Designing Spaces with Women. We would like to hear from you about which priorities you support and other ideas and activities would like to suggest. Complete our Public Realm and Outdoor Environment Survey here.
The next step is to discuss opportunities to add nature to Redcliffe and Temple, to mitigate against the rising temperature and improve social spaces. Join us for a free exploratory walk.
About the walk
The aim of each exploratory walk is to build on the ideas identified in our workshop and discuss opportunities to add nature to the Redcliffe & Temple area.
During the walk, you will visit a range of locations that could be developed to improve the biodiversity of the BID area and help address the ecological emergency we face.
We will consider how the BID can work with stakeholders to develop these sorts of spaces (both permanent and temporary) over the next couple of years.
