Starting September 2023, we are delighted to have teamed up with Babbasa, the award winning social enterprise based in Bristol. Babbasa is dedicated to empowering young individuals from ethnic minority and low-income backgrounds in pursuing their professional aspirations. Together, we are embarking on a mission to promote diversity and inclusion (EDI) within our local business community.

The BID are funding a limited number of Babbasa Workplace Inclusion Healthchecks with a bespoke development plan and also support with recruiting diverse talent. So if you are a Redcliffe & Temple BID business get in touch with Steve to explore this opportunity further.

We are really looking forward to working with the excellent team at Babbasa to give our business community the opportunity to explore and improve their EDI practices. We have invested in Babbasa’s Inclusion Health Checks and recruitment support for selected businesses who have the appetite to see positive change. This on going programme will support our vision for creating a safe and caring community within Redcliffe and Temple.

2024 IMPACT

We’re excited to share Babbasa’s 2024 Impact Report. This year marked a period of change, but Babbasa’s dedication to empowering marginalised young people in Bristol remained strong. In 2024, they supported 370 young people through mentorship, skills development, work experience, and career-focused opportunities.

Despite challenges in 2024, Babbasa is focused on a year of action in 2025, continuing to help young people thrive. April 2025 will see the launch of their Youth Empowerment Appeal to aiming to enhance services and resources.
