The Parks and Green Spaces Strategy puts out a vision for Bristol’s Parks and Green Spaces over the next 15 years to 2039, replacing the existing strategy published in 2008. 

The strategy identifies key actions to ensure that the city’s parks and green spaces continue to contribute to people’s health and wellbeing, respond to the ecological and climate emergencies, and provide greater opportunities to grow food.

The consultation is now closed. Responses are being analysed and the feedback will be used to help develop an updated version of the Parks and Green Spaces Strategy. A decision on whether to approve the updated strategy will be made by Bristol City Council’s Cabinet in early 2024.  

The Bristol Harbour Place Shaping Strategy will be a 20-year strategy. It aims to make Bristol harbour a welcoming place for all of Bristol’s communities, adapt to climate change and better support nature, and thrive economically so that the docks become financially self-sufficient.

Bristol City Council and their consultant, DK-CM, will be working with local people and stakeholders in and around the harbour to understand how the harbour is accessed, or equally, why the harbour is not accessed by those who do not use it.

Stage 1 of the engagement has helped build a collective sense of the Harbour as it is today. Stage 2 of the engagement saw the development of ten principles for feedback to help build a collective vision for the harbour’s future.
