Our vision is to develop Redcliffe & Temple into a vibrant, thriving, sustainable, safe and welcoming place to enjoy. With the support of levy-paying businesses, our aim is to create and deliver projects for the benefit of the whole community, adding value to this historic yet evolving area, attracting investment and influencing positive change.

CREATING & MAINTAINING QUALITY SPACE

The BID aims to deliver well managed, outdoor spaces for all to enjoy. Projects will be delivered to make the area more attractive and the BID will seek additional funding to realise lasting, ambitious improvements.

Proposed projects include:

  • Introduce greenery
  • Fund additional cleansing
  • Work with transport stakeholders to improve access
  • Introduce outdoor seating

IMPROVING SUSTAINABILITY & THE ENVIRONMENT

The BID will help businesses to operate more sustainably by working closely with the successful and pioneering schemes already in operation in Bristol. The BID will deliver initiatives to encourage a responsible business community.

Proposed projects include:

  • Help bring businesses together to focus on sustainability initiatives
  • Support sustainable travel with a Bike Mechanic and Bike Storage
  • Improve waste consolidation
  • Introduce recycling facilities

CREATING & PROMOTING A VIBRANT PLACE

The BID will help put the area on the map, creating an identity that will be strongly promoted. Events will animate the streets, giving the area a real sense of place, where staff and the whole community are proud to work and spend time.

Proposed projects include:

  • Work with experts to create a strong brand and identity for the area
  • Develop a marketing strategy that will position the area as Bristol’s ambitious business destination
  • Deliver a programme of safely managed events

CONNECTING & REPRESENTING BUSINESSES

The BID will give businesses a strong collective voice. We ensure that consultations are shared and that the views of the businesses are heard. Working collaboratively, businesses will be much more powerful and will increase their influence.

Proposed projects include:

  • Highlight plans, initiatives and developments which are proposed for the area
  • Lobby on behalf of businesses on important issues
  • Work with key stakeholders to maximise all opportunities for levy payers
  • Deliver networking events for all staff in the BID area
  • Introduce a loyalty scheme for businesses

BUILDING A SAFE & CARING COMMUNITY

Businesses in the area want to improve the area for their employees but also recognise their responsibility to the wider community. The BID will deliver projects aimed at increasing staff safety and well-being as well as supporting those in need.

Proposed projects include:

  • Establish strong links with the local police to reduce crime within the area
  • Extend the ‘TAP for Bristol’ initiative into the Redcliffe & Temple area
  • Coordinate a volunteering programme, providing links with local schools, community groups, and charities
  • Introduce a programme of events and workshops aimed at improving staff well-being
