As retail business staff, including managers, shop floor staff or security guards you’ll come across children and young people in the city centre. Most of the time children and young people are there to shop and meet friends and will be of no concern to you.
Occasionally there may be situations that might be of concern, such as disruptive behaviour, violence or you may have safeguarding concerns about individuals or groups.
This training will provide you with the information to know what to do in these circumstances.
The content will include:
- Who you should contact,
- Where should you signpost,
- and the opportunity to share ideas using real case studies to problem solve and de-escalate situations.
By businesses, police, the local authority, safeguarding services and youth work providers working in partnership we can ensure that you are not dealing with situations in isolation.
It’s important that you, children and young people are as safe as possible.
