ABOUT THIS EVENT

Following a grant from the Home Office awarded to Bristol City Council to improve women’s safety, Bristol City Centre BID have been tasked with facilitating the training element of Bristol Nights Anti-Sexual Harassment campaign.

THE TRAINING WILL FOCUS ON:

  • Impact of sexual harassment on women
  • The law surrounding sexual harassment
  • Reporting sexual harassment
  • Bystander intervention
  • Acceptable and unacceptable behaviours
  • Managing vulnerability
  • Best practice management of sexual harassment

This training is open to all those employed by the night-time economy (6pm-6am), from venue staff and security to performers and promotors.

The training will take place in various venues around Bristol and will be delivered by trainers who have undertaken special training to be able to share this valuable information around the city. Please see your selected ticket for details of the venue’s addresses.

Bristol Nights want to encourage as many people and venues to take this training. Following the success of the Bristol Nights Drink Spiking campaign, this is an important step to ensure Bristol continues to be a safe place to visit at night, especially for women.

The project also includes a limited bursary for low-income and freelance night time workers to be able to undertake the training.
