NO EGOS. NO SHOWOFFS. JUST GOOD VIBES.

Redcliffe & Temple BID have joined forces with Left Handed Giant to bring their free Run Club to lunchtimes, available for anyone to join with no registration needed.

The LHG Run Club stands for equality, empowerment and community. It’s a group of friends who may have never met each other before, but who connect over a love of getting out and testing themselves through running. A big part of the club is the ethos of all starting together and ending together, no one is ever left behind.

For these new lunchtime work runs the club will be meeting every Wednesday at 12pm, at the Left Handed Giant Brewpub in Finzels Reach. The group then runs a 6k loop of the harbour together, and why not hang around at Left Handed Giant post-run for an all important drink and maybe even a pizza.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Just come on down for 12pm on Wednesdays and be ready to run! No parking is available at the brewpub but you’ll be able to drop off your bags.

Sabrina Shutter, Project Manager at Redcliffe & Temple BID

'We are really excited to launch a lunchtime running club together with Left Handed Giant. Inclusivity and togetherness are a big part of the club, which will bring people from different businesses in the BID area together to meet up and join in an outdoor activity together. Our aim is to build a welcoming and friendly running club that people want to come back to week on week, and by joining forces with LHG we are adding a great addition to our calendar of free lunchtime events.'

Jay Medway, Organiser of LHG Run Club

Like our evening sessions we want to spread our values of community and our love of being outdoors with friends over these new lunchtime sessions. My aim for both groups is to build a community within a community where no one is left behind. With the LHG Run Club you know you have the power of your fellow runners behind you, believing in you to achieve whatever you want to achieve from your running. Whether it’s your first few steps in running trainers, you want to complete your first park run, or take part in an ultra-marathons, the club will be a source of support every step of the way.
