March was a busy month for the team as they got the streets sparkling for spring

BID Lead

March was a busy month for the cleansing team with the arrival of spring as they helped to keep the streets of Redcliffe clean and sparkling for the lighter evenings ahead.

On their weekly cleansing rounds across the BID area, including Victoria Street, Portwall Lane, and Temple Bridge underpass, the team got to work with dedicated deep-cleans and graffiti removals, covering an impressive 321 miles.

The team responded to 4 business community requests this month, including DBs Music, performing dedicated washdowns to help businesses stay spick and span. The team have also been busy deep cleaning the pavements of St Thomas Street ahead of the new mural coming soon to the back of the Soil Association building, adding more fun and colour to the streets of Redcliffe. Other deep clean locations this month included Freshford House and Canynge Street.

This month, the team removed a total of 137 items of graffiti, bringing the total for the BID year so far to 700! The team has been hard at work removing unwanted graffiti in the area to keep our city clean. If you spot any unwanted graffiti, please report it as criminal damage to the police to help reduce prolific graffiti in the city.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Richard and Martin for their consistent hard work this month and beyond, as their efforts continue to make our BID area a welcoming and friendly place for all.
